India and Vietnam, which already produce Apple, are among the countries where Apple is shortlisted as an alternative, the report added.

The report said Apple was citing reasons different from China’s strict COVID-19 response policy.

Apple declined to comment on the WSJ, and Reuters was not immediately contacted on Saturday.
