Bichet overtook the Blue Jays with two home runs.

TORONTO — Bo Bichette solved the problem on her own this time.

The Blue Jays shortstop didn’t stop Alek Manoah from making another great start on Saturday afternoon. He hit two home runs and won all of Toronto’s goalscoring 3-1 at the Rogers Center.

Bichette’s sixth multi-home run game gave Manoah the scoring support he needed to get his fifth win of the season. The right-handed pitcher pitched 8 innings and struck out 7 hits, 1 run and 4 strikeouts.

It was also a sight that is becoming increasingly common as Vichet regains star form after starting the season slowly. He now has 12 RBIs leading the team in the month of May. Bichette’s first home run (4th solo jack) was the 50th of his career at the age of 24.

As Toronto went into their third straight game against Cincinnati on Sunday, closer Jordan Romano secured a win in the bottom of the ninth and struck out Side to secure a series win.
