Previous episodes of Boruto began with Kawaki and Himawari witnessing their former teacher killing Kae. What’s more, Darkhana broke the bridge and blocked the person coming from the other side.

Kawaki also gives other students explanations that make them distrust what they see. Her students decided to join Kawaki and Himawari on her mission to save her princess, even though she knew she was in danger, she said.

As the episode progresses, Dark Hana sees Kae revealing her new mission consists of kidnapping her and using her as a bargaining chip to free the spectaculars of the Bamboo Lands.
