Brad Pitt recently revealed that he believes he has prosopagnosia, a rare condition most commonly known as facial blindness.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Brad Pitt thinks he has prosopagnosia.

Brad Pitt recently sat down with writer Ottessa Moshfegh for an interview with GQ magazine.

During conversations with Moshfegh, the 58-year-old actor covered a variety of topics about his life and career. He also admitted that he had trouble remembering new faces and people.

The magazine’s August cover profile states that ‘he has never been officially diagnosed but believes he may suffer from a specific condition, prosopagnosia.’

Moshfegh further wrote: ‘He is afraid of what impression it will make on him. But the truth is, he wants to remember the people he meets and he’s ashamed that he can’t.’

The Fight Club actor has confirmed that he has never been diagnosed with an enlarged prostate, but believes he has a rare condition.

What’s more, when the interviewer told Pete that he thought her husband had the same problem as him, the Star said, ‘Nobody believes me! I want to meet other people.’

The Once Upon Time In Hollywood actor previously spoke of his difficulties in an interview with Esquire in 2013.

“A lot of people hate me because I think they’re rude,” the Oscar winner said.

He went on to add, ‘Sometimes someone will tell me the situation and I’ll say, ‘Thank you for your help.'” But I piss more people off.’

The A-lister adds, ‘You are ‘you are selfish. You’re arrogant.’ But it’s a mystery to me. I can’t get a face, but from that design/aesthetic point of view. I will try it.’

What is Facial Blindness?

Facial blindness, medically called prosopagnosia, is a rare brain disorder. This means that most of the time it doesn’t recognize people’s faces.

People who suffer from this disorder sometimes have difficulty distinguishing faces from strangers. Few people have trouble recognizing known facial features.

According to a report by the National Library of Medicine, it is estimated that between 2-2.5% of the world’s population is affected by prosopagnosia.

Moreover, people who suffer from this rare condition often have difficulty forming interpersonal relationships.

In the past, there have been a few instances where faces could not even be recognized.
