A shooter who killed 10 people in a shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York on Saturday was broadcast live in the United States on the 10th.

“It is heartbreaking to hear about the shootings in Buffalo, New York this afternoon. Our hearts go to the communities affected by this tragedy. Twitch has a zero tolerance policy against violence of all kinds and responds quickly. Users have been suspended from our services indefinitely and we are taking all appropriate steps, including monitoring accounts rebroadcasting this content,” Twitch said in a statement provided to Insider.

A spokesperson said investigations revealed that the live stream was removed within two minutes of the violence started. The company added that it is monitoring the platform for any accounts that may be attempting to reshare content.
