Bugs cancels city hall party in ‘deer district’ after shooting

The Bucks canceled their 7th game show party in the “Deer District” after a gunshot wounded several people outside the Fiserv Forum on Friday night.

The team made the following statement about the shooting:

“The shooting in downtown Milwaukee last night was horrific and we condemn this devastating violence.” read the statement. “Thanks to local law enforcement agencies for their brave efforts to contain this dangerous and fluid situation. While these incidents occurred outside of the Deer District, it certainly resonated with the fans leaving the stadium and the plaza.”

Cavalier Johnson Milwaukee Mayor A two-day curfew was issued. At least 20 people were injured in three shootings near the city’s nightlife area on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 11 p.m. Friday night.

“Security, health and well-being has always been a top priority for our guests and staff, and we appreciate the efforts our security team is working to keep our fans safe,” Bucks said in a statement. “We have decided to cancel tomorrow’s planned surveillance party in the plaza so that law enforcement can dedicate the resources they need to continue their investigation into last night’s incident. Deer District businesses remain open as usual.”

The series between Milwaukee and Boston are tied by three points, with a decisive Game 7 scheduled for Sunday afternoon at Boston’s TD Gardens.

The tip was set at 3:30 PM EST on ABC.
