LOS ANGELES (AP) — One person was killed and eight others were injured in an overnight shooting at a mass party in Southern California, police said on Saturday.
San Bernardino police arrived late on Friday and found a person dead outside a party at a store in a strip mall in eastern Los Angeles. Equino Thomas said.
He said eight other people were shot and taken to a nearby hospital, most of them in their own cars. Police said the injuries were not life-threatening.
Thomas said he had never been arrested and that no suspects were identified.
Police said the shooting appeared to have occurred in a crowded room at the party and the victims were not intentionally targeted.
