Chelsea Handler took to Instagram to announce their breakup with Jo Koy ahead of their one year anniversary.

She said, ‘For our first anniversary, we shot a video with Joe early. Many of you may have noticed, but for now, we have decided together that it is best to break up, and I am conveying my heavy heart.’

The 47-year-old television host could only say kind words to his ex-girlfriend now.

She said, ‘This man opened my heart to love and it changed my life experience forever. What @jokoy loves and adores is one of the greatest gifts of my life. He renewed my faith in man in love.’

According to the source, Handler and Koi decided to break up about a month ago after a guest hosted a Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy have been friends for nearly 20 years. They first met through mutual friend and comedian Jon Lovitiz before the two became famous.

Nonetheless, the pair first became romantically connected to each other in June 2021 when Handler shared several videos of her walking around with Koy on her social media.

In addition, the two officially announced their relationship through Instagram in September last year.

A month later, in October, the pair said their friendship had only changed after spending a week of ‘Romantic Comedy’ together in Los Angeles.

Also speaking with Hoda & Jenna on TODAY magazine, The Chelsea Handler: Evolution star confided about his romance with a stand-up comedian.

‘I think it was therapy,’ she said. I went for treatment, and I was able to see things through a different lens. And this great man in my life has worn me out. And then I gave in.’

On the professional side, Handler is set to leave the comedy tour soon for the rest of 2022.
