Chris Evans returns for Captain America: Everything You Need To Know

While many fans are hoping to see Chris Evans play the role of Captain America again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor said a return to the MCU as the legendary Avenger would be a “big order”.

Chris Evans was asked a question from during a press event in Lightyear. He plays Buzz Lightyear if he plans to return to Captain America.

We’ve seen the aftermath of that quest in Avengers: Endgame, so there’s a lot of fan preference for Evans’ return, with Steve Rogers focused on getting the Infinity Stone back in its proper place.

Chris Evans said that playing Captain America was a top priority for him.

Chris Evans acknowledged the potential conspiracy, but said playing Captain America was very important to him. He doesn’t appear ready to return to the role unless an “ideal” scenario arises.

“I think people want to see it,” Evans said of the possibility of returning to the role of Captain America in a movie about putting the Infinity Stone back in place. “I don’t want to disappoint anyone, but it was a really nice run and I’m so happy. It’s very valuable to me.” It must be spotless.

Chris Evans first played Steve Rogers in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger and was a key figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe throughout the incredible run. After returning the Infinity Stone and handing the shield to Sam Wilson in Avengers: Endgame, he reappears as an old man.

Evans is currently working on the Buzz Lightyear origin narrative.

According to the Lightyear summary, Chris Evans is now “telling the definitive origins of Buzz Lightyear. “Lightyear embarks on an interplanetary adventure with legendary space rangers Izzy, Mo and Darby and his robotic friend Sox. As this promiscuous crew embarks on the most difficult missions, they must learn to work together to avoid the not-so-distant evil Zurg and his obedient robot army.”
