Chris Rock talks about Will Smith Oscar’s slap controversy

Chris Rock finally broke the silence about the infamous slap at Will Smith’s hand at this year’s Oscars.

Chris Rock performed on stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday evening. He joined with Kevin Hart to co-headline the Only Headliners Allowed comedy tour.

Controversial stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle was a surprise guest on Saturday’s show.

On set, Rock joked about Will for a while about ‘cancelling culture’, subtly mocking Will Smith.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the 57-year-old actor joked: “No one has ever been slapped in the face with words.”

Hart also brought live goats to the stage and named them ‘Will Smith’ for the fun during the event.

For those unfamiliar, Rock mocked at the star event at the expense of Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.

He said, ‘Jada, I love you. GI Jane 2, I want to see you soon.’

This caused Smith to dash off the stage, giving Rock a blow in the face. He also shouted ‘don’t put my wife’s name in your fucking mouth’ and abusive the presenter.

Rock went on to comment on the infamous slap on his set the next day at New Jersey’s PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.

According to Us Magazine, Rock said, ‘I’m not a victim. Yeah, it hurts, you bastard. But I broke the bread and went to work the next day… In the part about overly sensitive people, ‘I don’t go to the hospital for paper cuts’.

Chris Rock has previously said in several interviews that he will not publicly address the dispute between him and Will Smith.

Comedian once said. ‘People expect me to talk about bulls**. I’m not going to talk about it now. I’ll get it eventually – on Netflix.’

Most recently, he said he won’t talk about the infamous cheeks until he gets paid while performing at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, California in Indio last month.

He said, ‘I’m fine. I have the whole show and I won’t talk about it until I get paid.’

Meanwhile, Kevin Hart told us about Smith’s mental health in an interview. He said, ‘Will apologized. Of course he’s in a better place than he was after.’
