Everyone has their own characteristics about what to eat and what not to eat.
Some people vehemently oppose touching food, while others like to pour ketchup on their fries instead of the sides. Or the controversial food combination: pickles and peanut butter, pizza and ranch dressing, or french fries and ice cream? The polarized Hawaiian pizza is also not to be missed.
So it’s no surprise that when Sam Howell’s diet was made public, social media quickly reacted to what he included (and didn’t) in his diet. Spoiler alert: Commanders quarterbacks have never had a burger or steak.
during Virtual Luncheon at the 2020 Orange Bowl, the then-UNC star quarterback revealed that he had eaten chicken, mainly nuggets or tenders, since childhood. He never even ventured into the world of seafood.
“People make me sick, but the only meat I eat is chicken,” Howell said. Armstrong formerly worked at ABC11. “It’s been like that all my life. I really don’t know why. It started when I was young, but I have kept it for the rest of my life.
“The only meat I eat is chicken, so I only go to restaurants that have chicken on the menu.”

Now with Washington’s late round pick, his diet topic is back to the surface after he revealed in a recent Commanders video that his funny fact was that he had never eaten a steak before. And, as expected, social media has a lot to say about this matter.
Say what you want about Howell’s eating habits, but his college stats seem to indicate that the diet works. Before his arrival, North Carolina had a combined 5-18 record in the 2017 and 2018 campaigns. Howell then continued his 7,227 yards, 68 touchdowns and 14 interceptions during his first two seasons with Tar Heels, leading the UNC to a winning streak record.
However, his junior season saw some hiccups, a career-low in passing yards (3,056) and touchdowns (24). The program ended 6-7 after entering the season as the 10th team in AP voting.
