By any chance, Will Smith made headlines around the world when he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards in March.
The attack came after Rock, who also hosted the prestigious awards ceremony, joked at the expense of Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s lack of hair.
Jada rolled her eyes when Rock called her ‘GI Jane,’ but Smith didn’t have it when she ran to the stage and hit the Grown-Ups star.
Nevertheless, the Independence Day Star won an award for Best Actor for his performance in Richard Wang that evening.
Meanwhile, Smith publicly apologized for his actions the next day.
‘I’m off the line and I’m wrong,’ he wrote in the message.
He continued, “I’m ashamed of my actions, not the person I want to be. Violence has no place in the world of love and kindness.’
