Description: Why do fans think Sky Ferreira has turned down a date with Elon Musk?

Elon Musk’s Fashion Night appearance has been making headlines on the internet, with some speculating that he’s asked Sky Ferreira to go out.

Tesla CEO’s mother, Maye Musk, is one of those who weighs in on the rumors after they come out.

Then something unexpected happened. Elon Musk, a frequent Twitter user and current owner of the platform, responded to the rumors.

Who is Sky Pereira?

Sky Pereira is a 29-year-old singer, model and actress.

Sky Ferreria became famous by uploading a video of herself singing to Myspace. She later found her on the production team, Bloodshy & Avant.

Vocalists are known for their synthpop work. Madonna, Prince, Blondie, Carly Simon and My Bloody Valentine are artists who have influenced her.

The Webby Awards won Sky’s single You’re Not One, Best Music Video.

Her debut album, Night Time, My Time was released in 2013 and her most recent release, Masochism, was released in April of this year.

Why did fans believe Sky Ferreira turned down Elon Musk?

After seeing the fake tweets on Twitter, many thought that Elon had asked the model out, but was turned down.

The tweet in question was posted by the Sugar Pop account matching @newypost’s handle.

The caption reads: “It Lady, Mannequin, singer and songwriter Sky Pereira has turned down a date with Elon Musk after being asked by a crew member for the 2022 Met Gala.

According to another rumor that followed the fake news, Elon’s team confirmed that he was “sat at the same table as Sky Ferreria”.

The article garnered a lot of attention and quickly went viral on numerous social media sites.

Neither the Tesla CEO nor his team had access to the model.

Sky Ferreria has decided not to comment on the rumors, but Maye has decided to do so.

May tweeted that “there was no team”. Elon and I were together. So, NO’, says the emoticon with an annoyed expression on his face.

Elon also provided an explanation. “He didn’t ask anyone to go out or ask for a special seat,” he replied to his mother’s post.

In a separate post, he said, “This rumor started with a spoofing account, but was caught up in real media and Twitter trends (sighs).”
