Despite losing more than 90% of all-time highs, Dogecoin is still under-appreciated by investors. Now, the co-creators of the meme coin have added another layer to this by saying that the coin was created by a “dumb man.”

Dogecoin is stupid

Billy Markus was one of the duo responsible for the creation of Dogecoin. Dogecoin has since grown to become the largest meme coin in the space and one of the largest meme coins in the overall market. Both creators seemed to have shut down and forgot about digital assets a few years after they were created. That was before billionaire Elon Musk started shilling cryptocurrencies and grew to $0.7 a piece. Then Markus returned to the market.

In the months following his return to space, Markus was a vocal member of the Dogecoin community, often providing ideas and suggestions to help increase the usefulness of the coin. But this time he gave another reason why creators love the asset.

In a tweet, Markus explained that digital assets were loved by him not only because they are stupid, but because they know they are stupid. This is due to the fact that DOGE has never claimed more than it really is, a community-driven meme coin.
