Here’s everything you need to know.

Drake joked about New Balance at the Nike Maxim Awards.

Drake is a lot, but being a standup comedian may not be his forte.

Boy took to the Nike HQ stage as the host of the Nike Maxim Awards on Thursday, September 8th. The event was held in Beaverton, Oregon.

But his impromptu remarks about Nike’s age didn’t seem to get the laughs it deserved.

Drake told the crowd, ‘Nike is 50. Nike is too old to wear New Balance.’

The audience, on the other hand, responded with moans and minimal reactions.

Still, Drake didn’t give up while trying to make another joke.

He said, ‘I’ll have a quick drink.’

The 35-year-old rap star goes on to say, ‘Nike turning 50 means LeBron will get you playing for the Lakers this year.’

“This year, you’ll be going to a restaurant and you’ll see Nike drinking red wine with Jared Dudley and Carmelo Anthony,” he added.

Aside from that, Drake joked about Nike’s supply chain issues.

Drake left a few punchlines for several celebrities including Adidas and Kanye West while speaking at the Nike Maxim Awards.

However, fans quickly noticed that he also jabted Tyga during his speech.

The Canadian rapper said, ‘When you see things in perspective. I think Adidas has Kanye.’

Not only that, but this remark succeeded in making the audience laugh at a large gala.

Still, Drake said, ‘Nike, we have LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis. [Antetokounmpo], Michael Jordan. Rest in peace, Virgil Abloh, the greatest creative spirit in history. We have Cristiano Ronaldo.’

He went on to say, ‘We have Serena Williams. we have tigers [Woods]. And I’m pretty sure Reebok has Tyga. So we’re good.’

If you don’t know, the One Dance hitmaker has long-lasting beef with Tyga. It dates back to an interview with the 32-year-old rapper in 2014.

At that time, the taste singer said, ‘I don’t like Drake as a human being. He’s just a fake to me.’

“We were forced together, and it was as if we were forced into a relationship,” he added.
