Temporary closure of Pittsburgh’s Foxtail and Skybar
The AMPD Group is said to have temporarily closed its Foxtail and Skybar venues on Southside, Pittsburgh.
They made a statement on Instagram addressing the issue.
They say, ‘The safety and health of our guests and staff is our number one priority. After careful consideration, the owners of Foxtail/Skybar have decided to close the venue until further notice.’
The statement continued, “The atmosphere in which the South operates the late-night economy business is deteriorating to an unstable extent, and the customer base is becoming a problem.”
In addition, ‘we will continue to support Mayor Gainey and the Department of Public Safety’s South Side Safety Initiative Plan. We look forward to re-joining the community once a solution to the problem plaguing our neighbors is successfully implemented.’

Authorities Blame Foxtail’s Viral Video
WPXI reports that authorities and local police have expressed opposition to the controversial video clip.
District Judge Eugene Ricciardi was ’embarrassed about the lewd incident at the Foxtail Skybar facility. The video spread across the United States. There are people in Florida who have seen the video, what do they say about us?’
After that video… I’ll never set foot in a foxtail nightclub/skybar again.
