Harper continues his strenuous stretch at 10-inning slug fest.

LOS ANGELES — Medical reports say Bryce Harper was injured. But looking at his recent at-bats, we don’t know.

One day after being diagnosed with a small UCL rupture in his right elbow at Dodger Stadium on Friday night, Harper maintained a staggering batting pace, averaging two triples in four and two home runs in eight innings.

Even when he is not given a chance to hit, he is still in the middle of a situation. The Dodgers deliberately sent Harper out as a one out and third base in the 10th, but soon stole a base along the left field line with Nick Castellanos’ two-point tie-break double.

Philadelphia, despite countless bullpen shortcomings, won the match fit for Friday the 13th 12-10 and took the first two of their four games in the Chavez Valley.

In the last eight games, Harper is batting .469 with 10 extra hits. This increased the league lead in that category to 22. He has five hits in this series alone.
