Harper, Phillies keep rolling with 8-3 win over Dodgers.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bryce Harper hit a home run in three straight games at Dodger Stadium and finished with three hits and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-3 on Saturday night. Scored 4 goals.

Jean Segura, Kyle Schwarber and Rhys Hoskins also hit a home run against Dodgers starter Julio Urrias (2-3). Philadelphia are on a four-game winning streak in their last six games and a scoreless win in five of their last six, and they are aiming for a draw in their first four games in a row in the Chavez Valley since 1985 on Sunday.

Ranger Suarez (4-1) threw the most 7 innings of the season and won 3 of the last 4 games.

Mookie Betts scored her first solo shot for Los Angeles after losing a four-game winning streak since June.

Harper extended the Phillies lead to 6-1 in the third inning with a 3-point shot into Uriah’s right field. It is the eighth and first time Harper has hit a home run in at least three consecutive games since August 2019.

He also doubled in the first inning for seven extra long hits in the first three games. It was his third straight hitting record in the Chavez Valley, tied with Adrian Gonzalez. Gonzalez did his job while playing for the Dodgers in 2015.

Harper is 23 with 14 with nine extra hits and nine RBIs during Philadelphia’s six-game road trip.

Segura continued his hitting streak in 11 games in a inning with a three-run homer that barely crossed the short wall in the left fielder’s corner. Schwarber and Hoskins extended the lead 8-1 by adding a solo shot in the fourth.

The Dodgers responded with a double along the right field line with Cody Bellinger on base in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Suarez threw 102 pitches, his second consecutive outing in the century. The left-hander, who retired 11 batters he had recently faced, recorded five hits, three runs and six strikeouts.

Urrias gave up a career-high four home runs that exceeded the three allowed as a starter in the 2016 rookie season. Five of the eight home runs allowed by the lefty were eight hits and three strikeouts.

Bellinger’s home run was the 31st of his career, including 11 with the Dodgers.

trainer’s room

Phillies: Manager Joe Girardi says SS/2B Bryson Stott is not in the lineup because left-handed hitters have been struggling against Uriah this season.

Dodgers: RHP Blake Treinen (right shoulder inflammation) still feels uncomfortable and says there is no timetable for when he will be able to pick up a baseball to resume pitching.

the west passes

The Phillies announced before the game that former pitcher David West, who was part of the 1993 World Series team, had died of brain cancer. He was 57.

West has a 10-year major with the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins, Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox. He pitched for the Phillies from 1993 to 1996.

to the next

Phillies RHP Aaron Nola (1-4, 3.83 ERA) hasn’t won a game since the start of the season. The Dodgers have not announced a starting pitcher for Sunday’s series finale.
