Heat’s Hero (groin) is Game 4 vs. Excluded ahead of Celtics.

BOSTON (AP) — Heat guard Tyler Herro was excluded from Game 4 of the Miami East Conference Finals against the Bostic Celtics due to left groin strain.

Miami made the announcement ahead of Monday night’s game. Herro missed the last eight minutes of Heat’s 109-103 win in Game 3 after suffering an injury. He is averaging 13.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in the playoffs.

Herro is one of several Miami players to leave the game nursing illness.

All-star Jimmy Butler sat all through the second half with a swollen right knee. He is questionable in Game 4 alongside Kyle Lowry (left hamstring strain), Max Strus (hamstring strain), Gabe Vincent (left hamstring strain) and PJ Tucker (left knee strain). Heat said all players will be warm-up and willing to play.

Miami leads their best-of-seven series 2-1.

Boston All-Star Jason Tatum (nervous impingement) is likely. Marcus Smart (right ankle sprain) and Robert Williams III (left knee pain) are both suspicious.
