Joni Mitchell talks about her comeback gig
Joni Mitchell watched her show with Anthony Mason of CBS News on Monday.
‘I’ve never been nervous in front of an audience,’ she said. But I hoped it would go well. And I wasn’t sure if I could. But I didn’t sound too bad tonight!’
Then the singer-songwriter said, ‘I’m learning. I’m watching videos on the internet to see where I put my fingers.’
She went further, ‘It’s amazing how an aneurysm can collapse and get up from a chair! You don’t know how to get out of bed. All of this has to be mechanically relearned.’
The superstar said, “I did water ballet as a child and forgot how to do the breaststroke. I almost drowned every time I tried. So most of them go back to infancy. You have to learn everything again.’
Meanwhile, Amy Caribbean, who was lucky enough to attend Mitchell’s surprise concert, shared a video of the performance on her YouTube channel. Moreover, the video shed tears for many fans.
One fan said, ‘I can’t stop crying! This impressed me immensely. I love the joy she radiates from her Joni when her crowd cheers her up.’
