Thomas added his second Wanamaker trophy after Keegan Bradley defeated Jason Dufner at the Atlanta Athletic Club in the first playoff of the 2017 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow.

Thomas started the tournament with 67 strokes in a row despite taking a bad side with a draw. He was back on Saturday when he hit 74, but on Sunday he hit a hundred-nine to get his 17th birdie. He hit 72 holes, 5 under par 275 in a final total of 67.

Zalatoris, who started the third day after Mito Ferreira, finished the 71st round of the roller coaster round to face Thomas.

Ferreira took a one-shot lead by drowning her tee shot on the 18th. He made a double bogey that missed the playoffs with a shot alongside Cameron Young.
