Kodak Black accused of possessing oxycodone pills

On Friday, Kodak Black was stopped by police at a Florida traffic stop while driving around Fort Lauderdale in his Dodge Durango.

The Florida Highway Patrol claimed that officers enforced a traffic stop at nearly 4:30 p.m. on Friday, July 15.

According to TMZ, police suspected the windows of his truck were painted darker than allowed and asked the rapper to stop the car.

Additionally, Florida police started sniffing marijuana as soon as they approached his vehicle.

Shortly after authorities searched the vehicle, they recovered 31 oxycodone pills for $74,960 in cash.

In addition, officials later learned that Black’s vehicle and driver’s license had expired.

The outlet added that the Codeine Dreaming artist was subsequently taken to Broward County Jail on unspecified charges.

Kodak Black’s Violation of Past Laws

Kodak Black, real name Dieuson Octave but later renamed Bill Kahan Kapri, was charged with car theft while in middle school.

The 25-year-old singer also went in and out of jail for several felonies during her young career.

In 2019, the Pompano Beach rapper was arrested for possession of a weapon and sentenced to four years in prison. Nevertheless, his older brother was commuted by former President Donald Trump after Black had served nearly half of his term.

Trump was also pardoned when he was arrested for trespassing on New Year’s Day last year.

As a result, Black avoided spending more time in prison in 2021 and a plea deal after being charged with raping a teenager in 2016.

Atlantic Records’ recording artist was scheduled to perform E11EVEN at Rolling Loud Weekend in Miami on July 22nd.

Black released their fourth studio album, Back for Everything, on February 25, this year. The record included hit singles such as Let Me Know and Grinding All Season.

The musician’s all-time hit tracks include No Flockin’, Super Gremlin, Roll in Peace and Pimpin Ain’t Eazy.

Black released their debut studio album, Painting Pictures, in 2017. The album peaked at number two on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and this put him in the spotlight to some degree.
