Los Enanitos Verdes Frontman Marciano Cantero dies at age 62
It’s a miserable day for rockers. Enanitos Verdes Bassist and singer Horacio Eduardo Marciano Cantero, one of Argentina’s greatest rock stars, died on September 8. He was 62 years old. As Clarin said, last week he underwent emergency surgery to remove part of his kidney and spleen. Sources said the first medical report documented some complications with the remaining kidneys. Sadly he couldn’t stand the discomfort, his son Javier Cantero told the press. We would like to personally thank our fans, our daily companions, our families, and all the prayers and support we have received today. He went on to thank the center in Cantero’s old hometown of Mendoza, Argentina. The staff here treated their fathers in their later years.
It’s miserable, but I look back on the 30 years I spent with him. Consistently, he said, having the option to enjoy with him was a gift. I can’t help but rejoice over how extraordinary he was and for all the affection I have received from him today. I want him to be remembered not only as a musician, vocalist and artist like him, but also as a great individual and the world’s most beloved companion. Fans all over the world are expressing their gratitude for an essential legend to one of Latin America’s most famous rock bands. Enanitos Verdes has been one of the most important Espanyol groups in Argentina since its founding in 1979. Through their musical trajectory, the trio has established itself as an iconic figure with iconic hits such as Lamento Boliviano, Luz De Día and La Muralla Verde. Give some examples.
The first time I saw Enanitos Verdes was when I was 13. As a result, it now takes you on a path that offers literally a week a year almost exclusively to Spanish rock.

“De pibe quería ser futbolista. Mi papá Representativeaba a Argentino de Mendoza en AFA y yo iba siempre a la cancha. No pudo ser, pero en un gol hay música, y en la música cada melodía que nace termjugada goal”.
