Manchester United fan Goldbridge appeared on Talksports to pick his ultimate XI between the current Liverpool team and Manchester United’s 1999 team.

And with only three of Jurgen Klopp’s offenses making up his lineup, XI is dominated by arguably the greatest team the Red Devils have.

“Enter Van Dijk, Manet, and Salaman!” he said

On goal, Peter Schmeichel makes the cut ahead of Alisson. Gary Neville and Dennis Irwin are preferred over Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson while Jaap Stam works with Van Dijk at centre-back.

Goldbridge refused to take down the midfields of Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and David Beckham, ignoring players like Thiago and Fabinho.

But he chose Liverpool duo Mane and Salah before Andy Cole and Dwight York.

He added on the forward line, “I’m going to have to put Mane & Salah as the first two players. The other one won’t move.”

Carlton Cole argued that Cole should be included as one of the best scorers in Premier League history.

One Twitter user wrote, “Men rate Neville over TAA? This is just stupid.”

2nd tweet: “The best team is 99 without Liverpool players. Proven by winning the treble.”

The third added, “Allison, Vvd, Robertson, Trent, Thiago, Mane and Salah all joined the team.”

4th comment: “Not a single Liverpool player is currently on the 99 United team. No clues to suggest otherwise.”
