Who is Michael Pitt?

Michael Carmen Pitt is an American actor, model and musician. He was born on April 10, 1981 in West Orange, New Jersey. He was also born to Donald B. Pitt and Eleanor Carol (née DeMaio) Pitt.

Michael’s father worked as an auto mechanic and his mother was a waitress. Donald is of British descent and Eleanor is of Italian and Irish descent.

Also, Michael is the youngest in the family. He has two older sisters and one older brother.

When Michael was 16, he had already transferred to almost three or four other high schools, including Morris Catholic High School. He took additional ‘special classes’ and eventually decided to drop out.

Michael Pitt kept his personal life private. Although he has been linked with a few celebrities.

Michael started dating model Jamie Bochert in 2004. A year later, in 2005, he announced that the two had been ‘long engaged’. Shortly after the couple moved into an apartment in Brooklyn with a cat named Crackhead.

Michael also spoke about his relationship with Bochert in an interview with Observer magazine in 2009.

During an interview, Michael said he was “the other half” from New Jersey, now 43.

Nevertheless, in 2014 the Daily Mail revealed that the 41-year-old actor had broken up with his girlfriend of 10 years.

Michael was engaged to Italian film producer Asia Argento from 2003 to 2004 before starting dating Bochert.

The former couple also shot a movie together during a brief romance. Michael appeared in the 2004 film The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things, where Argento worked as an actor, writer and director. The film also stars Jimmy Bennett, Dylan Sprouse, and Cole Sprouse.

Michael Pitt made a big splash in Hollywood when he appeared as Tommy Gnosis in the 2001 musical film Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

His filmography also includes 2002’s Murder by Numbers, 2003’s The Dreamers, 2005’s Last Days, and 2007’s Funny Games.

Michael spoke candidly about his career choice in an interview with Elle magazine in 2014.

He said, “Honestly, I make a controversial film. The film I made was a very bold choice.’

He also said, ‘From the first movie, every movie I chose was considered ‘career suicide’.”
