Naomi Judd excluded her daughters Wynonna and Ashley from the will.

The late country singer Naomi Judd has excluded daughters Ashley and Wynonna Judd from her will.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Naomi Judd left her daughters of her own accord.

Naomi Judd was killed in April 2022 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her home in Rippers Fork, Tennessee. She died at the age of 76.

According to court documents, Naomi has named her 33-year-old husband, Larry Strickland, as executor of the estate.

The document states: ‘I appoint and appoint my spouse Larry Strickland as executor of my estate. If my spouse stops serving or fails, I nominate and appoint my brother-in-law, Reginald Strickland and Daniel Kris Wiatr, as co-executors. I instruct my executor not to ask for any security deposit.’

In her will, she said that Strickland would have ‘full power and discretion’ over all property that was the property of her own. Also, he does not ask for ‘court approval’ or permission from the beneficiary of the estate.

The famous country artist said in his suicide note that the 76-year-old musician would be entitled to ‘reasonable compensation’ for his services.

She added that he would be paid or reimbursed for all ‘reasonable expenses, advances and expenses (including attorneys’ and accountants’ fees)’.

According to documents, Naomi Judd prepared her will on November 20, 2017, almost five years before her death.

Although Naomi struggled with depression her entire life, she said she was of a ‘sound mind and memory’ when she signed her will.

According to one media outlet, Winona is upset that she is not included in her mother’s will. She was also half of the duo The Judds with Naomi. What’s more, she said, ‘She believes herself to be a huge force behind her mother’s success.’

The Judds were the most famous mother-daughter duo in country music. They continued their undefeated streak for eight consecutive years at the three major country music awards.

Both sisters have yet to show any signs of conflict with their mother or her will.

Moreover, Naomi’s fortune is estimated at about $25 million.

Naomi died the day before she was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame along with Winona. Nevertheless, her sisters took her honor by attending the awards ceremony on behalf of her mother.
