On Wednesday, June 1st at 3:01 AM EST/12:01 AM PT, Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 3 premieres on Disney+. Following Friday’s premiere, the show will now air on Wednesday, as we’d expected from the Disney+ Originals.

On May 27, the series premiered, giving fans not one but two new episodes to enjoy as the title Jedi finally appears from the shadows.

Fans naturally wanted more, but when will Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 3 be released on Disney+, and where does the next plot go?

When will a new episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi air on Disney Plus? How many episodes and release schedule for Obi-Wan Kenobi?

The rest of the Obi-Wan Kenobi airs weekly after two episodes have been released. The series airs a new episode every Wednesday at 3:00 AM EST / 12:00 AM PT. Obi-Wan Kenobi consists of a total of six episodes. For now, the release schedule is as follows:

  • Episode 1-2: Friday, May 27, 2022
  • Episode 3: Wednesday, June 1, 2022
  • Episode 4: Wednesday, June 8, 2022
  • Episode 5: Wednesday, June 15, 2022
  • Episode 6: Wednesday, June 22, 2022

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s return to Wednesday after its initial release on Friday means it will clash with Ms Marvel, one of Disney+’s MCU shows, which premieres on June 8th.

It’s likely that there will be duplicate releases at some point as Disney+ fills up with new episodes, but it’ll be interesting to observe how the release schedule affects both shows.

Episode 1 and 2 Summary

After a 10-year hiatus, the progenitor Jedi of Episodes 1 and 2 return to protect young Luke Skywalker from Tatooine.

Kenobi learns that a 10-year-old girl, Princess Leia, has been kidnapped by bounty hunters. He is forced to leave the desert planet to prepare for a daring rescue.

As the Empire sets out to find the remaining Jedi, Obi-Wan makes a fuss and takes the Inquisitor to the planet Daiyu, where his third sister, Reva, nearly overtakes Obi-Wan, and then uses her fingers to escape Obi-Wan.

Reva is furious with the Grand Inquisitor’s displeasure at her failure to capture Kenobi.

As rumors spread that Kenobi has arrived at Daiyu, the plot of Episode 3 is set to be scrutinized more than ever.

At the end of the second episode, due to the unexpected behavior of the Great Inquisitor, Reva was put under pressure to find the Jedi. Failure to do so can result in severe penalties.

Because Obi-Wan is difficult to bring, it can attract the attention of a much more powerful person than a simple Inquisitor.
