Ogilvy UK appointed Laura Vipond as Chief Growth Officer as Nina Jasinski left the company she was due to leave after seven years at the agency.

Jasinski will leave his position as Global Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the new business to focus on life and passion outside of the industry.

She joined Engine in 2015 in the role of Chief Marketing Officer.

“After 7 years of growing and winning at Ogilvy, I decided it was time to reconnect with my family and continue doing what I had always wanted to do,” she explained.

“I’ve known Laura since she joined the agency and she will be great as Chief Growth Officer. She wants her, her team and her network to continue to be successful.”

Ogilvy UK CEO Fiona Gordon said: She wished her all the best in her future,” she said.

Vipond joined from Karmarama, now part of Accenture Song after Accenture Interactive’s acquisition of the agency, most recently in the role of Managing Partner for nine years.

In her new role, she will oversee Ogilvy’s new business team across all five business areas including Advertising, Experience, PR, Consulting and Health.

She will be responsible for the agency’s growth strategy, focusing on new and existing markets and key network client opportunities.

Vipond previously served as Head of New Business at Elvis and co-chaired the IPA New Business and Marketing group.

She is also a Wacl Future Leaders Award recipient and founder of Futures, an award-winning alumni network in partnership with Wacl and Nabs.

Vipond explained, “Ogilvy UK has an amazing combination of heritage, momentum and relevance and we are delighted to join this team at a time when there is real momentum.”

“I will take Ogilvy UK to a new chapter in growth and show how creativity without borders can impact businesses to continue building a great customer list. I’m looking forward to bringing my passion for pitching to the table.”

Liz Wilson, Managing Director of Accenture Song, said: She spent 9 years at Karmarama and now works for Accenture Song. We are very proud of what she has accomplished. But this is just a new chance for her to ace. .”

Gordon is thrilled to have Vipond as Chief Growth Officer. “Laura is a giant in business growth. Her vision, ambition and determination are combined with her love of empathy, energy and creativity.

“Her passion to help customers have the right partners, make an impact and build winning teams is the skill we need.”
