Unidentified gunman opens fire at Tulsa medical complex, killing 4 innocent bystanders
Tulsa Police Department Deputy Chief Eric Dalgleish explained the incident at a press conference.
He said police received a call about 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Natalie Medical Building on the St. Francis Hospital campus claiming to be in possession of a firearm.
Dalgleish said police arrived at the medical complex within three minutes of the afternoon. He said the officers were ‘heard gunshots in the building and that led them to the second floor’.

Tulsa Police Department officer Richard Meulenberg told CNN that the killer was already dead when officers entered the facility.
Nonetheless, the identity of the suspect is still unclear.
According to Meulenberg, a ‘semi-auto rifle’ and a ‘semi-auto pistol’ were found next to what he believed to be a firearm he was carrying.
Besides, the shooter fired using both weapons before shooting himself.
Police believe the unilateral suspect died of fatal injuries that he inflicted on himself.

Richard Meulenberg confirmed that the death toll was not higher. He said fewer people had non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are ascertaining whether the men were injured in the shooting or while fleeing.
Meulenberg made sure no police officers were injured during the tragic incident.

The shooting occurred in the orthopedic wing of the hospital. It is not yet known whether the deaths were medical staff, patients or visitors.
“It was just madness inside, with hundreds of rooms and hundreds of people trying to get out of the building,” the chief of police said.
Meulenberg told CNN that investigators are trying to determine the motive of the shooter.
Then he said, ‘(The suspect) went to this place very intentionally, went to a very specific floor and fired a gun for a very specific purpose. This is not a random shot by this individual.’
