Gresham, Oregon — A 31-year-old woman shot and killed herself and her two children in a Portland suburb, police said.
On Tuesday morning, officers and the East County major crime team found three people dead in an apartment, the Gresham Police Department said in a press release on Wednesday.
Police said an investigation and an autopsy revealed that Ashley Palmer of Gresham and her two children, aged 8 and 6, died of gunshot wounds in homicide suicide. According to Oregonian/OregonLive, she was struggling with her spouse over custody of her children.
These children have been identified by the newspapers as Kayleana Beatrice Palmer, 6, and Xavier Rayvaughn Danger Palmer, 8.
Details of the incident were not disclosed.
