When is Overwatch 2’s release date?

Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 will be officially released on Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

It will also be released globally on the following dates and times in key regions:

  • Pacific Daylight Saving Time: Noon (October 4)
  • Eastern Daylight Saving Time: 3pm (October 4)
  • UK DST: 8:00 PM (October 4)
  • Central Europe Summer Time: 9pm (October 4)
  • Indian Standard Time: 12:30 AM (October 5)

And, like its predecessor, Overwatch 2 is available for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Is Overwatch 2 Free?

Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 will offer a free-to-play format. This is probably the company’s latest strategy to attract more gamers.

Plus, gamers don’t have to pay a single penny to access these popular battle royale games. However, you can unlock the premium version of the Battle Pass. Usually around £10.

Meanwhile, it is important to note that this is not a full release of Overwatch 2 as it is only considered PvP. A specific release date for the story mode hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the game’s PvE is expected to launch in 2023.

How about the Watchpoint Pack for Overwatch 2?
