‘People treat me like I don’t exist’

A disabled woman launched a social media campaign to fight ignorance.

Juno Sinclair, who recently started using a wheelchair after being diagnosed with non-epileptic seizures, described everyday life as an “absolute battle”.

Juno created the ‘Inaccessible Cardiff’ Instagram account to raise awareness of access issues.

It shows how people who park on the pavement or dump on the street are more considerate of her and other people with disabilities.

“Everyone is valuable from the moment they are born, and it is forgotten,” she said.

“Every time I leave the house in a wheelchair, people treat me like I don’t exist. And it breaks my heart.”
