Pete Davidson officially confirmed SNL’s departure in an emotional post.

Pete Davidson’s last episode of “Saturday Night Live” aired, and he used his friend’s Instagram account to send heartfelt messages to fans and share behind-the-scenes videos of the show’s first night.

On May 21, Davidson delivered a message via Instagram of “Saturday Night Live” writer Dave Sirus, hours before the final episode. The text included a video of his enthusiastic reaction to celebrating behind the scenes with his fellow cartoon Jerrod Carmichael after finishing his first comedy.

His departure coincides with the departures of other SNL stars Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Kyle Mooney, marking the end of an era and end of season with the most cast in show history.

What’s in the breakup video?

Davidson uploaded a video from eight years ago, shortly after he recorded his first weekend update, and in his farewell post he skitted Saturday Night Live. he said:

“I was 20 when I got the show and I had no idea what I was doing. As it is now, especially at the time, I wasn’t really a sketch performer. I was just a standing person.”

He admitted that he was “very afraid” to contribute to the award-winning Classics program. Because he thought, “You’ll never get your hands on Kenan Thompson or Kate McKinnon.”

Davidson went on to say that he decided to do “stand-up and private beats” on the show and became one of the show’s most popular stars.

“I have a lot to share with this audience and literally have to grow up right before my eyes. We’ve been together through the good and the bad, the happiest and darkest times.”

Pete Davidson said producer Lorne Michaels and every member of SNL were responsible for their existence. He went on to call the show his “home”.

The show said goodbye to Kate McKinnon and Pete Davidson in a subtle but poignant way.

In Saturday’s Cold Open, McKinnon reprized her role as Miss Rafferty, an alien kidnapper who has a harder time than her peers.

After McKinnon’s Miss Rafferty reveals (in vivid and obscene details) what happened to her during her alien abduction, two government agents, Aidy Bryant and Mikey Day, find out that she is now with the alien who has abducted her. Explain that you have to go.

This led to a touching scene where McKinnon boarded a spaceship he built himself and said goodbye to both his character and himself.

McKinnon’s character put his hands on his heart and spoke to the audience.

In the “SNL’s” Weekend Update, Davidson received the final segment.

“I never imagined this would be my life,” Davidson said. “At that time, I was just a skinny kid, and no one knew what kind of race I was. And now almost everyone knows I’m white. Because they barely started working and had great success. Look at me now, I am aging like a banana.”

“SNL” producer Lorne Michaels told Davidson at an early audition that he didn’t think Davidson was a good fit for the program, but “let’s work it out together.”

Pete Davidson remembers telling Michael that Ariana Grande got engaged two weeks after they met on the show, and after dating for two weeks.
