Realme’s three new devices could be one of the cheapest phones and tablets out there.

It’s been a busy week with phone news as you already have a Sony Xperia I IV and Google IO 2022 and Realme is here with its own launch.

The Realme 9, Realme 9 5G, and Realme Pad Mini are all attractive low-cost products.

The Realme 9 is available in gold, black or white and costs £249 (approximately £305/AU$440).

Then there is the Realme 9 5G. Contrary to the name, Realme 9 is not the only addition with 5G. There is 5G, but it’s also quite different in other ways, and not all of them are better.

It has a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 695 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery at 18W charging.

UK availability of the Realme Pad Mini has not been confirmed yet, but there are suggestions that it could launch later this year. In Europe, they start at €130 (about £110 / $135 / AU$200), so they are very affordable. However, none of these devices have been identified in the US or Australia.

Analysis: This may be one of the cheapest phones.

Realme is known for offering great smartphones at affordable prices, from the Realme 8 5G, which is currently on our list of cheapest phones, to the Realme GT 2, which is on our list of best smartphones albeit lower than most others.

So, it is likely that Realme 9 and/or Realme 9 5G will be added to our guide to cheapest phones in the future. You won’t know for sure until you go through a full review.

Obviously, the specs look reasonable for the price, but the similar prices can make it difficult for buyers to choose.

Meanwhile, the Realme Pad Mini is a possible contender for the cheapest tablet guide, but the specs are so basic that I’m not convinced. Still, the price is definitely cheap.
