Relictum VS Solana: Blockchain Comparison

A blockchain is a continuation chain of blocks with different data, and modifying the last block is not a problem. However, the previous block cannot be modified because the hash of the previous block is written to the next block.

  • Next, some Solana validator nodes become leaders. Its “lead” times are 0 to 1,000 historical proof hashes. So the next time will be 1,001 to 2,000 hashes, etc.
  • The blockchain transaction is passed to the leader and the leader confirms it.
  • After that, the transaction goes to the 2 validator nodes and is verified again, but not by them.
  • The next step is to send it further over the network.

There is a clear timeline for knowing exactly when a validator will become a leader. This means that things are calculated very simply in this algorithm.

Relictum Pro is a new version of the consensus algorithm similar to the Solana blockchain, Proof-of-Tsar (PoT). The trick is that the network regenerates every half a second. This means that the node will reconnect within 1 second. It looks like this:

  • Network nodes are randomly chosen to become tsars (everything is automated and unpredictable).
  • Multiple nodes are generals. That is, they obey the Tsar (like Solana’s validators).
  • The whole work is done between them. The general collects the above transactions and sends them (to the tsar), and the chosen masternode processes the transactions and sends them back along the chain.
  • More data is sent after the general.

The main difference with the Solana blockchain is that the selection of leaders and generals is an automatic and chaotic process. The same node cannot become a tsar first and then a general or have the same role twice in a row. The biggest difference with Solana blockchain is that it is impossible to predict who will become the leader (tsar). As a result, collisions of double-spending and other parasitic events are eliminated. Its unique PoT architecture allows you to increase the number of nodes to improve performance.
