Robbie Williams took to the MCG stage on Saturday ahead of the historic showdown between the Sydney Swans and the Geelong Cats.

The British pop star sang the 1997 hit Let Me Entertain You to kick off this year’s pregame show. After that, he featured Rock DJ before launching his latest track, Lost.

Moreover, Williams continued to sing his ballad Angels. He dedicated it to cricket legend Shane Warn.

The 48-year-old singer said: ‘This next song is dedicated to one of Australia’s greatest rock stars, Shane Warne. I love you Wannie!’

Moreover, the camera turned towards the stand where Werne’s grieving children Brook and Jackson were in the crowd.

As you may not know, Warne died in March of this year while vacationing in Thailand. He was 52 years old and died of natural causes.

Williams also had another tribute to other Australian legends. He dedicated You’re Voice to John Farnham.

The 73-year-old music icon recently underwent jaw reconstruction surgery. He underwent surgery to remove the tumor after being diagnosed with oral cancer last month.

He currently resides in a rehabilitation facility with a recovery he presumed to be ‘on the right track’.

However, it is unclear whether Panham will be able to sing or perform in the future due to the nature of the surgery.
