As Love Island USA returns for another season, 10 new singles from all over the country have entered the villa and are ready to find the ideal partner.
However, viewers will find that since her debut in 2019, the show’s host, Arielle Vandenberg, hasn’t returned for a new season transitioning from CBS to Peacock. Modern family actress Sarah Hyland is now the face of the dating show.
Fans reacted strongly to the news, and was a bit bewildered as it was not yet known that actor Ariel was not returning as a host for this season.
Arielle posted a statement on her Instagram account detailing why she was fired from the program and including photos of her favorite set moments to clear up any confusion.

Her caption partially states, “I was cast as the host of the CBS version of Love Island and we had three fantastic seasons.” Sadly, CBS has decided not to renew it for a fourth season. Because Peacock is a different network, it completely rebrands the program and offers a new host and narrator.
“I am so sad to leave the show, but I am so proud of my friend @sarahhyland because she will rock it! In summary, I wanted to use this platform to thank everyone who has supported @loveislandusa over the last three seasons.”
The show’s narrator, Matthew Hoffman, was also replaced.
As stated in Arielle’s caption, Matthew Hoffman has been removed from the show’s narrator. Scottish comedian Iain Stirling, the famous voice of the British version of the show, is subtly mocking his rivals and their drama by donating his voice this season.
In addition to appointing a new host, Love Island USA has replaced previous season’s Hawaiian villas with villas on the California coast. British comedian Iain Stirling, the original narrator for the British version, will now narrate Season 4, replacing Matthew Hoffman. Jenny Groom, vice president of unscripted entertainment at NBCUniversal, said in her statement to TVLine in June: “Iain exemplifies the humor, blasphemy and cheeky fun that viewers enjoy about the show. Without him, Love Island wouldn’t be what it used to be.
I’m glad I’m a big fan of the modern family. Otherwise you will be very upset about the host change 😒 I still miss Arielle’s voice 🧡 #LoveIslandUSA https://t.co/Mm6fb1GBoQ

Not against Sarah Hyland, but I thought Arielle Vandenberg was great as a host. #LoveIslandUSA
