Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer now accepts cryptocurrency in the US


Luxury watch manufacturer TAG Heuer has announced the introduction of online cryptocurrency payments for US customers. The Swiss company offers a new payment option through a partnership with crypto payment processor Bitpay.

Luxury watch designer and manufacturer TAG Heuer now accepts cryptocurrency for high-quality products. The alternative payment method is facilitated by the crypto payment platform Bitpay. Buyer buys Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash(BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), and five stablecoins. They can pay up to $10,000 per transaction with no minimum spending requirements.

TAG CEO Frédéric Arnault said, “Since Bitcoin first started trading, we have been following the cryptocurrency development very closely.” “As an avant-garde watchmaker with an innovative spirit, we knew that TAG Heuer would adopt a technology that, in spite of its fluctuations, would be integrated globally in the near future,” management added.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Bitpay provides a payment gateway service that allows businesses to integrate cryptocurrency payments on their platform. Stephen Pair, Co-Founder and CEO of Bitpay, said, “We are excited to see global brands like TAG Heuer investing in the cryptocurrency space and seeking support from Bitpay to adapt their digital platforms to the rapid changes in e-commerce.”

Now on TAG Heuer’s US website, a pop-up window will appear welcoming visitors, letting them know that the company already accepts cryptocurrencies. To redeem digital coins, you must click ‘Bitpay’ during checkout and select your preferred cryptocurrency.
