Mtihad, home of the Premier League champions, or at least according to rival fans of Manchester City. But how empty are the stadiums in City?

City may have climbed to the top of the mountain in dominating football in England, at least when it comes to trophies, but that doesn’t stop them from being ridiculed regularly.

The reason is that from their humble beginnings when they were acquired in 2008 there is still a perception that they are not as ‘big’ clubs as rivals Liverpool or officially trashy Manchester United.

But how true is that claim? well, follow transfer market, Originally built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, the stadium is in the lower half when it comes to the percentage of seats filled throughout the season.

This is not based on how many tickets were sold, but on how many people actually went through the ticket gates and a percentage compared to the stadium’s capacity.

And at least now we know that Etihad is neither empty nor fully filled and we can probably expect more from the league champions.

Perhaps Erling Haaland will be responsible for filling the last remaining positions. Then what shall we mock City for…Oh, the Champions League!
