Tanya Pardazi died prematurely after a skydiving accident in Toronto, Canada because her parachute failed to open. She died after being injured in a 4,000-foot fall.

Pardazi completed one ground training course at Skydive Toronto before jumping off the plane on September 3, 2022. What’s more, this course presumably qualified her to take the course she dubbed her ‘her solo first jump course’. .

Skydive Toronto initially reported that Pardazi died because he released his parachute ‘at low altitudes with no time to inflate’. However, new reports show that she was wearing an automatic parachute while jumping.

According to the school’s official website, the course completed by Pardazi states that customers ‘do a static dive with a parachute that opens automatically’.

The description will further read ‘You will learn about equipment, how to get off the plane, free fall body position (arch), canopy control, and emergency protocols.’

‘This course also includes skydiving at 4,000 feet. The plane dispatched by the Jumpmaster is attached to a fixed line and the main parachute deploys automatically during the fall for up to 5 seconds. The ground control instructor will give you over-the-air instructions on how to navigate the parachute via a walkie-talkie and get you back to your landing spot!’

Pardazi’s friend Kimia Sepanru posted on her Instagram, “As I always said, I’m sorry that I couldn’t go on a trip to Bali with you. But it’s also a terrifying comfort to know that you’ve finally got an answer to what the afterlife looks like.’

She went on to say, ‘You were a millionth and you went out like a millionth. Wait over there.’

Meanwhile, another friend of Pardazi, Melody Ozgoli, spoke of her in an interview with CTV News Toronto.

She said, ‘Tanya was interested in something new and adventurous. Her life was too boring for her and she always tried to do something adventurous. She really lived every moment to the best of her ability.’
