TikTok Trends For China’s Zombie Apocalypse Revealed

Some TikTokers believe the zombie apocalypse will happen in 2022. TikTok’s rumors are outright lies, but what’s the cause of all this?

Here’s everything you need to know.

How did the zombie apocalypse rumors start on TikTok?

According to media outlets, the rumors stem from an online article titled We Are The Might published on a site on July 16, 2021.

This piece was written by Ruddy Cano and said, ‘This is the most likely way the zombie apocalypse will begin in China.’

The author noted that a communist country like China is most likely to initiate a zombie apocalypse. He added that he would keep the outbreak a secret until state officials get out of control.

Cano referenced the tragedy of the 1986 Cornobyl disaster.

‘Communist countries have chosen to contain information until it can no longer be denied,’ he said. When the Chornobyl disaster occurred in 1986, the Soviet Union refused to acknowledge the problem until there was irrefutable evidence that other countries had done something wrong.’

The article goes further, pointing out that the Chinese believe that ‘worse than a mistake’.

He also quotes references from Max Brooks’ fictional book World War Z.

The truth of the ‘zombie’ crisis was not acknowledged to the world, and the Chinese Communist Party government helped spread it because of misinformation about what actually happened.’

The writer said that if an apocalypse happened in China, citizens would do anything to cover up the outbreak. He argued that they would not appreciate appearing ‘incompetent’ in front of the rest of the world.

The article also mentioned that the Chinese would lie to hide their mistakes. He pointed out that people would say ‘the outbreak is natural, not criminal negligence’.
