Kaminska was a member of the Minutemen lacrosse team at UMass Amherst and a sophomore in communications. Kaminska became interested in the sport in his own Long Island area as a child and started his lacrosse there. When he was in middle school, he was captain of the Fort Jefferson School District’s lacrosse and football teams. He was placed on the CAA Commissioner’s List of Academic Honors. for the fall 2020 semester. Aidan’s obituary also states, “I’m crazy and I enjoy making other people laugh. Because he sucks on baby animals, especially ducks and rabbits. He loved long walks in the woods and worked hard. He also liked to cook, and he frequented fresh spinach. I tried roasting and trying new dishes.”
