American Pickers graduate Frank Fritz suffered a stroke and was rushed to hospital.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Frank Fritz Stroke
Former Frank Fritz co-star Mike Wolfe shared the shocking news on Instagram last week.
Wolf also posted a picture of Fritz smiling, sending a heartfelt message.
He said, ‘I’ve been very private about Frank’s life and his journey over the past year. There have been a lot of comments about my friendship with Frank and the show, but now is not the time to set the record right. Now is the time to pray for my friend.’
“Frank is in the hospital with a stroke,” Wolf continued. “Keep him in your heart and mind.”
He concluded the sentimental post by saying, ‘Honestly, I pray that I will overcome it well.’ I love you, my friend.’
The relationship between Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe
Frank Fritz and Mike Wolfe shared a television screen on the History Channel’s reality series American Pickers, which debuted in 2010.
The show followed the pair’s journey across the country as they ‘restore forgotten artifacts to their former glory and make a living by turning one’s trash into another’s treasure’.
But when Fritz announced in July that he was leaving the popular series, fans were shocked. It was later reported that he was fired for several health problems, including back surgery.
Both Fritz and Wolfe were candid about the ups and downs of their friendship.
“I haven’t talked to Mike in two years,” Fritz said in an interview. He knew my back was a mess, but he didn’t call me and ask me how I was doing. I see.’
Wolf, on the other hand, claimed that he would miss Fritz while talking to People magazine.
He said, ‘I’ve known Frank for as long as I can remember, and he was like a brother to me.’
The 58-year-old actor went on to say, ‘I will miss Frank like all of you, and I wish him the best and best of luck on his next journey.’
Still, Fritz said, ‘Mike’s statement was bullshit. Someone wrote it for him. We never became friends in elementary school. I can’t believe he’s said five good things to me in 10 years.
