Tame One was born in Rahem Brown in Newark, New Jersey. He was co-founder of the hip-hop group Artifacts, along with members of Weathermen and Leak Bros.

Artifacts released their debut album Between a Rock and a Hard Place on October 25, 1994. They also released their second album, That’s Them, on April 15, 1997.

Unfortunately, shortly after the album’s release, the group announced their disbandment.
