What is Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma? Jane Fonda talks about fighting cancer.

Jane Fonda recently revealed that she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But she’s making sure the disease doesn’t get in the way of raising her awareness of climate change.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Jane Fonda has revealed that she is battling cancer.

Jane Fonda announced on her Instagram account on Friday that she was being treated for cancer.

She started by saying, “I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and started chemotherapy.”

The 84-year-old actress said the disease was curable, citing statistics that to date 80% of people have survived.

Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is cancer that begins in the lymphatic system. In this disease, white blood cells known as lymphocytes can grow abnormally, causing tumors throughout the body.

Also, Fonda says, ‘You are lucky because you have health insurance and have access to the best doctors and treatments. It is painful to realize that I am privileged in this work. Almost every family in America has had to fight cancer at some point, and too many people have not had access to the quality health care I am receiving. This is not correct.’

“We are living in one of the most important times in human history, because what we do or not do now determines our future and cancer will not stop me from doing everything I can,” she said.

Actress Grace and Frankie said, ‘The midterms are coming up and as a result they don’t matter, so you can count on me to be with you as we grow our army of climate champions.’
