Republican Senator Steve Daines from Montana on Tuesday compared fetuses to sea turtle eggs, arguing that Democrats oppose efforts to codify Roe v. Wade.
“Why are there laws protecting turtle eggs or vulture eggs? Destroying the eggs is killing an already-born baby sea turtle or pre-born baby eagle,” he said. On the other hand, Danes speaking against bill on the floor of the Senate.
