Here’s everything you need to know.

Malia Obama and Dawit Eklund are fanning romance rumors.

Malia Obama walked the Soho neighborhood of Manhattan with her boyfriend, Dawit Eklund, who is rumored to be on Monday. The two also decided to have lunch in Chinatown.

Also, the 24-year-old Harvard graduate paired an oversized denim shirt with beige cargo pants for a casual look. She completed her with her chunky New Balance sneakers and a dark shade.

Eklund, on the other hand, wore a green shirt, khaki pants and a navy blue jacket during the pair’s Big Apple outings. He also wore the accessory with black sunglasses.

Obama and Eklund’s recent trip to New York came a month after the photo was taken visiting the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

According to multiple media reports, the two were caught hugging each other during a date. Also, Eklund placed his hand on her waist and Obama caressed the nape of his neck.

A 2016 Washington Post article wrote, ‘Their music perfectly combines house music groves, British garage stuttering, unsettling electronic vibes, and perhaps most notably, Ethiopian folk music.’

In an interview with the magazine Eclund at the time, he said, ‘Ethiopian music is very unique. They only play 4 or 5 scales. Each has its own meaning and attitude and mood.’

The second article in the post called him ‘one of Washington’s most interesting dance music producers’.

He added, “It’s not because he inherited styles from around the world, but because he spent his childhood learning to communicate with various people.”
