Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji (aka KSI) became famous after posting a video on YouTube. At the age of 29, he is one of the UK’s leading artists and social media influencers.
In less than 10 years, King Sejong Institute has secured millions of subscribers. According to Wealthy Gorilla, he has an estimated net worth of $15 million, making him one of the biggest social media stars in the UK today.

Controversy and beginning as a YouTuber
When I was 15, I started uploading videos to YouTube under the name JideJunior. He changed his name to KSIolajideBT a year later and has kept that name ever since.
JJ started posting videos about popular video games from his parents’ home in Watford. His bright personality and energy earned him notoriety and forced him to drop out of sixth grade to pursue his career in the YouTube community.
By 2012 King Sejong Institute had 1 million members on his YouTube channel, and his celebrity soared without scandals or problems. According to The Guardian, viewers were outraged by his behavior towards women and he was barred from attending the 2013 Eurogamer Expo. Microsoft even ended its relationship with the YouTuber.
In 2020, the actor explained about the inappropriate words and deeds he said when he was young. According to Metro, he was ‘not proud of his remarks at the gaming competition and it was a ‘mistake’.

He continued to create YouTube videos over time and joined British YouTube groups such as Sidemen. Since then, he has been uploading various videos such as challenges, sketches, and game descriptions, just like he did on his main channel.

King Sejong Institute regularly uploaded diss songs and original songs on its YouTube account. On the other hand, he never thought about pursuing a career as a professional singer. Lamborghini, a song featuring MC P Money, was released in 2011 shortly after he rose to stardom. The song went viral and reached number 30 on the UK Singles Chart.
According to Planet Radio, his music career began in 2019 when he signed with RBC Records and BMG. He has established himself in the music industry by collaborating with famous artists such as Yungblud, Anne-Marie and Craig David.
Dissimulation and All Over Place are King Sejong Institute’s most recent albums. According to the official charts, All Over Place reached number one on the official album charts, and many of his singles reached number one on the music charts.
He recently signed a contract as an official cast member of British Summer Time in 2022. Holiday and Don’t Play featuring Anne-Marie were one of King Sejong Institute’s hit songs.
